Boehner: American People Don’t Want A Government Takeover of Health Care

On MSNBC, Congressman Boehner said the Democrats’ government takeover of health care is “a very dangerous proposal” and that “all my effort at this point is making sure this bill never, ever, ever becomes law.” Watch Boehner here:

BOEHNER: “Democrats of all stripes are hearing from their constituents.  And their constituents have been pretty vocal in telling them, we don’t want $500 billion worth of Medicare cuts.  We don’t want $500 billion in new taxes.  We don’t want these mandates on employers that may cost me my job and cost me my health care.  It’s a very dangerous proposal that they’re putting forward…

“[A]ll my attention and all my effort at this point is making sure this bill never, ever, ever becomes law.  And I think the American people are on our side.  I think they’ve spoken loudly and clearly.  They want no part of this.  And I think Democrats who vote for this do so at their own peril.”

Boehner supports a better solution that would the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says would lower health care premiums for families and small businesses and cut the deficit. Learn more about it here.

Mr. Boehner if this bill is unconstitutional why do we even have a constitution? Why does Congress pass unconstitutional legislation? i am frustrated with this administration, Reid and Pelosi and they are bullies. The Obama administration is a disgrace to the American way of life. ONE good thing about this administration, more people are becoming involved, including me. Americans have spoken out loudly and clearly against OBAMACARE as no other legislation in recent history. Government spending, deficit, bailouts, stimulus, jobs, unemployment, foreclosures —- not all of this is Bush’s doing. We are at WAR against terrorist which this administration does not acknowledge. He is stripping away the fundamentals of the Constitution, its principles and our dignity of being Americans. GOD help America.

I do not want the government to take over our Health Care, it is only the beginning of a complete government take over. I believe if they do and put all the insurance companies out of business you will never see so many people out of work. This President is the worst president we have ever had. I did not vote for him and I would never vote for him, he is complete fool. I don’t know what the people were thinking when they put him in office. A black man would be OK if he was an American Citizen and had a heart for the American Way the U.S.A. I could go on, but I will not, I only hope John you get enough support to stop this Health Reform.

I do not want pay more for health care than I am now and with this new plan we will all be paying more. As a widow, I need to watch all my spending and I can’t afford the government insurance.
