Earlier today, Speaker Pelosi and her liberal allies took the lid off the latest version of their 1,990 page government takeover of health care – written behind closed doors, away from the eyes of the public and the media – and Congressman Boehner and the GOP were ready. Boehner asked how “1,990 pages of bureaucracy” are going to fix our health care system. Watch him here:
BOEHNER: “1,990 pages — now tell me how we’re going to fix our health care system with 1,990 pages of bureaucracy. This is what the American people have been saying over the last few months: enough is enough. …
“But this bill is pretty clear. It’s going to raise the cost of Americans’ health insurance. It’s going to kill jobs with tax hikes and new mandates in it. And it’s going to cut seniors’ health care benefits. And if all that isn’t bad enough, the mandates on states will bankrupt what are already states that have huge financial problems to deal with.
“We’ve got better ideas and we’ll be talking about them over the next week.”
The ideas Boehner is referring to were highlighted yesterday in the Chicago Tribune, which said that Republicans have offered “smart” and “excellent ideas” to “increase choice and competition,” and “expand coverage for the uninsured without cratering the federal budget or curbing the competition and innovation that drive the U.S. health care system.”Read more about the Republican solutions here.

Does health care reform cover long term care insurance?
Congressman Boehner, Emanuel Cleaver II is my congressman, I have tagged your face book to get continious information to send to Congressman Cleaver. He has been against everything I suggest but I continue to write him. Please keep up the good work you are doing. I hope we can get you some assistance in November from this district. November is a long way away right now though.
